Alum Cheedy comments on the 1967 Referendum, 2008

Yindjibarndi man Alum Cheedy worked as Aboriginal Liaison Officer then Regional Manager for the Pilbara Native Title Service. He left in 2007 to become Manager of Marnda Mia, an independent company he helped develop, owned by the Traditional Owners of the Pilbara. It provides a ‘platform for Indigenous people to develop regional standards with companies and improve government service delivery in areas such as education, employment, housing and health.’ He is now a Court Officer in the Aboriginal Legal Service, Roebourne Court.
