Fran Haintz was the Manager of Wangka Maya Pilbara Aboriginal Language Centre from 2000 until early 2008, and is currently Superintendent Indigenous Affairs for BHP Billiton Iron Ore in Port Hedland. She works in partnership with communities in the Pilbara identifying a range of opportunities, such as educational and cultural projects.
