Teddy Allen comments on the 1946 strike, 2009

Striker Teddy Allen settled at Twelve Mile camp, the headquarters where hundreds of workers and their families lived in makeshift shelters. He was one of Peter Coppin’s small team collecting kangaroo and goat skins. They sold the skins to a shop in Port Hedland to buy food and supplies for the community.
